HALIFAX, NC: Mr. John Andrew Whitaker, Jr., 58, of Halifax, NC passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at his residence. A viewing will on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the Chapel of New Beginnings Funeral Service, 109 W. 5th Street, Scotland Neck, NC. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Scotland Neck, NC with the Rev. Jimmy Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedarview Cemetery, Enfield, NC. .
