Frederick Webb, Jr., age 88, of Scotland Neck, North Carolina, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 25, 2025, in Durham, NC.

Frederick was a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of many through his kindness, sense of humor, and dedication to his family and community.

An accomplished professional musician, Frederick shared his extraordinary gift of music with the world, having performed alongside legendary artists such as Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson Five, Smokey Robinson, Roberta Flack, and Nancy Wilson, among many others. His remarkable talent opened doors to stages around the nation and left an indelible mark on all who heard him play. Beyond the stage, Frederick was also a visionary entrepreneur and educator, committed to inspiring others and leaving a legacy not only of music but of perseverance, excellence, and love.

A floating visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mary's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 7079 Mary Chapel Rd, Scotland Neck, NC 27874.

Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at Mary's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will take place at Staton Memorial Cemetery, Scotland Neck, NC.

Frederick Webb, Jr. leaves behind a beautiful legacy of music, love for family, and devotion to friends that will continue to inspire generations to come.
