SCOTLAND NECK, NC – Ms. Doris Purvis Thorpe, 77, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Heritage Hospital, Tarboro, NC. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church, Scotland Neck, NC. A viewing will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, DC. Services under the direction of New Beginnings Funeral Service, 3221 U.S. Highway 258, Rich Square.
