ALEXANDRIA, VA: Ms. Carrie E. Pender, 98, formally of Scotland Neck, NC, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, Alexandria, VA. A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, with funeral services immediately following at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Scotland Neck, NC. Burial will follow in Staton’s Memorial Cemetery.
